Tracing Back the Path

Yesterday, 22nd of May 2011, was one of the most memorable day in my life. It was my graduation ceremony; graduation of 2011 class of SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta.

Joy, pride, anxiety, sadness, all mixed up in once. Stunned me, and a saying from my buddy was recalled in my head..

He said that we would feel the exact feeling of being a part of Delayota when we were about to graduate. Because there are these phases:

10th grade : It’s a time when we’re all shrouded in the euphoria of being a High School student. We brag for our uniforms, we hang out in malls or elsewhere wearing uniforms, we want to show the world that we are now entering a new world; a world that defines teenagers’ life best.

11th grade : It’s a time when we’re ‘competing’ for ‘existence‘. We participate in committees of stuffs, letting us busy holding events, enslave ourselves to show abilities or merely for ‘existence’ (for some people, who knows?). We hang around with people, trying to get fame from peers. Might as well ignore studying :p

12th grade : We see a gate at front, and we know that we’re going to go through it. We acknowledge that it’s just a matter of time; months, weeks, days left. Then we start to look back, seeing the 2 years we’ve been through, comprehending what we’ve done for the past 2 years, and realize how important each person is. They might seem common, our friends. Because something special, if it happens regularly, it may become something common. But when we trace back our memories, we start noticing, that they mean so much to us..

Dear friends, teachers, and all family of Delayota, each of you guys have spread your own lines and colors in my life, spicing it up, and creating your own spaces in my memory.. I’m sorry for this late epiphany.. I’m sorry if I often misbehaved.. And thank you, for being a part of my life..

I’ll miss y’all guys.. :’)

Countdown to Touchdown

OMG! The UAN (graduation)’s announcement is in less than 24 hours!! ><

My prayers flow every single day, praying not for my own success only, but for my beloved 2011-mateys’ also.

We’ll put a big smile on our faces and declare proudly that “We pass the exams”  together tomorrow, guys. Amen.. :’D

There will be no frown..

Quadruple Slaps

She’s all laid up in bed with a broken heart
While I’m drinking Jack all alone in my local bar and we don’t know how
How we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration
Trying to make it work, but, man, these times are hard

She needs me now but I can’t seem to find the time
I got a new job now on the unemployment line and we don’t know how
How we got into this mess, is it God’s test? Someone help us ’cause we’re doing our best
Trying to make things work, but, man, these times are hard

But we’re gonna stop by drinking our cheap bottles of wine
Sit talking up all night, saying things we haven’t for a while, a while, yeah
We’re smiling but we’re close to tears, even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time

She’s in line at the dole with her head held high
While I just lost my job but didn’t lose my pride, and we both now how
How we’re going to make it work when it hurts, when you pick yourself up you get kicked to the dirt
Tryin’ to make it work, but, man, these times are hard

But we’re gonna start by drinking our cheap bottles of wine
Sit talking up all night, doing things we haven’t for a while, a while, yeah
We’re smiling but we’re close to tears, even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time

For the first time
Oh, for the first time
Yeah, for the first time
We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time

Oh, these times are hard, yeah, they’re making us crazy
Don’t give up on me, baby
Oh, these times are hard, yeah, they’re making us crazy
Don’t give up on me, baby

The Script – For The First Time

Future Leaders from Yogyakarta!

Be careful of what you’re asking for. One day you wish you had more activity in a long spare holiday, the next day you’ll be drown with a hell lot of business(es).

– Gratsia Kancanamaya (30th April 2011)

This is solely another answer to a prayer, hahah *ironic laugh*. In spite of the whole work I have to accomplish and the responsibility, I am grateful for being in the team indeed :’>

It’s such an honor to be there with such great people; they have awesome skills individually, and I believe, gathering them in this team will make it dazzle!

What I’m talking here is Indonesian Future Leaders (IFL) chapter Yogyakarta :)

It’s a non-profit and non-governmental youth organization which runs in social actions by empowering the youths in Yogyakarta. It’s a new organization, precisely established on the 19th April 2011. Regardless the age, we’ve already settled our plan for 1 year ahead, and we’re going to make ’em true :) For now, we’re working on our publication and introduction towards Yogyakartan’s youths through mass media (radio, newspaper, magz) and cyber world.

Our closest event is the ‘Soft Launching’ which will be held on the 2nd week of June 2011 at TVRI Yogyakarta.

The next one is the ‘Open Recruitment’ which will choose the core team, and it will be held on June as well.

If you’re interested to cooperate with us, be our sponsor or partner, feel free to contact me by leaving a comment in this post, or mention me at my twitter account :)

If you want to know a lot more about IFL chapter Yogyakarta, follow its twitter account! ;)

Let’s make a change and devote our skills and creativity for a better Indonesia, dear future leaders!
